Lodge and Fly Fishing Season a Success

Trophy Trout, Grand Slams, Happy Fly Fishers, and More

Well, although the weather is still amazing here in the Western Rockies and we still have several weeks of fly fishing to go, it’s nearing the end of our inaugural fly fishing season. This time of year causes us to reflect on how the season shaped up. Here are some of the highlights of the season:

  • Nearly every single angler caught their grand slam (brown trout, rainbows, brook trout, and cutthroat trout)
  • Several really impressive trophy fish were caught (see image at right for one bruiser that was landed near the top of the ranch)
  • We enjoyed some great water this season. Too much for a while actually, but overall it was a great water year leaving us with lots of healthy big trout for next year.
  • The lodge is finished and furnished. It’s comfortable and beautiful with spectacular views of the Yellowstone River and the surrounding Uinta Mountains.
  • Even better than the fishing this season were the great guests that shared it with us. Thank you to all those that came out and enjoyed this special place, the fantastic fishing, and the comfort of the new lodge.

If you didn’t make it out this year, give us a call at 844-553-3474 and book your trip for 2018. One of the best things about this place is that the lodge is not large and crowded, but that also means you need to book early to secure your exclusive vacation. The lodge, fantastic private trout fishing, and entire ranch will be all yours!

    Can't Wait to Get Back
I’ve been to several fishing lodges and nothing compares to the privacy, solitude, and luxury of having an entire Ranch with rivers and lakes all to yourself. The guides were patient and excellent with our young son in helping him learn to cast and everyone in our group caught plenty of fish. Crystal Ranch is our new Utah favorite and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly incredible fly fishing experience.

    Thanks For an Amazing Trip
Just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for letting me share your wonderful property on my trip to Utah. The land is amazing. The fishing was tremendous, and the staff and guides were world class. I hope to be able to visit the property again soon.

One of the Best Guides I've Ever Had
Kacie did an amazing job with the lodge/food and Morgan is one of the best guides I have ever had.  Fishing the Yellowstone River and the Spring Creek were in my personal “wheelhouse” since I truly enjoy fishing the dry-dropper rig in a freestone stream.
